Kells made two personal changes from the Ratoath draw with Paulie Tormay coming in for Seamus Mattimoe while Fionn Ferguson replaced Ryan Farnham in the starting fifteen. St. Peter’s regained the lead in the 10th minute and once again Kells squared things up when Beano Hanlon pointed two minutes later. The sides traded the next two scores with Ferguson getting his second to leave the score at three points each at the 15 minute mark.
Fionn Reilly, playing at Centre Forward took advantage of a sloppy pass from the Dunboyne defence and point to restore the Gaeils lead. As with the flow of the game, Dunboyne drew level once more but it was Kells who had the final say of half when Fionn Reilly struck over his second point of the game to see The Gaeils lead 0-05 to 0-04
