A huge weekend coming up for the club on the field, with Semi-Final’s for our Senior’s and Minor’s, a Final for our Ladies and an important top of the table clash for our u13s.
Saturday 12th October:
RS Awards U13 Football League – Roinn B:
St. Colmcille’s (B) v Gaeil Colmcille: An all important game for our under 13s who make the trip to Piltown on Saturday Morning to face a strong St. Colmcille’s second string. Our lads are unbeaten so far taking the scalps of Walterstown, Summerhill, Duleek/Bellewstown, St. Ultan’s/Cortown and most recently Dunshaughlin to sit top of Group B on 10 points. St.Colmcille’s sit just behind the Gaeils on 8 points so should be a stern test for our boys

LMFM Minor Football Championship Division 4 Shield Semi-Final:
Gaeil Colmcille v Na Fianna: Our Minors who came up short against St. Mary’s/Slane now slip into the Minor Championship Shield and will welcome Na Fianna to Grangegodden. Our lads will be hoping to regain the form that saw them start the Minor Championship with a win when they beat Clann Na nGael/Ballivor. Na Fianna finished bottom of their group but will go into the game with confidence having beaten St. Peter’s, Dunboyne (B) in the final group game. Both sides met in the Minor Summer League with Gaeil Colmcille coming out the right side of a 2-12 to 1-09 win.

LGFA Adult League Division 5
Gaeil Colmcille v Seneschalstown: Our Adult Ladies who continue their tradition of reaching a final every year and this year they take to the field in Dunganny to take on Seneschalstown for the right to take home the Division 5 title. Having lost out to a strong St. Peter’s, Dunboyne team in the Championship Semi-Final our girls will be hoping for success in Saturdays final. A win over Trim in the final group game by 3-06 to 3-00 ensured they would make the final.

Sunday 13th October:
Fairyhouse Steel Meath SFC:
Gaeil Colmcille v Ratoath: The big one of the weekend when our Senior Men take on Ratoath for a place in this years Meath Senior Football Championship Final when they meet in Pairc Tailteann on Sunday afternoon. Both teams come into the final with identical records having won 5 games each in the championship and having only lost the once, Kells losing to Navan O’Mahony’s in Round 3 while Ratoath lost out to Summerhill by a single point in Round 3. A huge crowd is expected in Pairc Tailteann as the game will prove to be a great watch for neutrals as well as Kells and Ratoath folk. The game will serve as a double header with Trim and Oldcastle opening the day. Admission will be €15 for Adults, €5 Students/OAPs and U16s free of charge (accompanied)
