Having already secured a semi final place Gaeil Colmcille/Loughcrew Gaeils faced a strong well drilled Kiltale side in a top of the table clash in Grangegodden Sunday morning.
The North Meath outfit raced into an early lead with Ross McDonnell rattling the Kiltale net within the first minute, we doubled our advantage moments later when Jack Hand broke through the Kiltale defence after some great team work.
Kiltale were soon to react and raised a couple of green flags themselves.
The remainder of the game was a ding dong battle, both sides fought hard for every ball and gave spectators plenty to applaud. Kiltale played with a sweeper in the 2nd half and Gaeil Colmcille/Loughcrew Gaels found scores hard to come by. Kildale were that little bit sharper and were more economical with their shooting giving them the edge on the scoreboard at the final whistle.
Best on the day for Gaeil Colmcille/Loughcrew Gaeils were Michael Gormley, Anthony Gallagher,Conor Tunney and Callum Reilly .
